Staying in Your Home, we begin with a consultation where we talk about your specific challenges, needs, and priorities. 

STAGING YOUR HOME FOR SALE

You should remove at least 50% of your stuff from cupboards, closets, and other storage areas. Storage is an important selling point, so buyers want to see what they’re getting.  Remaining items should be arranged attractively. 

WHEN TO BEGIN DECLUTTERING WHEN YOU'RE SELLING??

The moving-out process can begin even before the home is listed. How do you feel about paying to pack, store, and ship items you can’t decide on? What about the cost of unpacking and storing items you decided were “maybe” worth keeping, once you move?

In real estate, “time is of the essence.” So, when you’re selling, we really need to work fast and get a lot done fast. 

Does the need to get done quickly make it easier to let go? Maybe, maybe not. Some people don’t make a decision about letting go, they put it off until after they’ve moved. But, there are costs for packing, shipping, and storing whatever you keep.
